Evil

Evil is a topic that most are hesitant to approach as a general rule I am too, but after a very lengthy discussion we decided to address in this forum. Evil is very real, and very dangerous. Unfortunately, some of the most evil things on this planet go unnoticed. There is an old saying, "The devil's greatest accomplishment was convincing the world that he doesn't exist." The heart of this statement is undeniably true. There is another saying, "Darkness wins when the light refuses to shine."
Evil is seductive, and hidden in many forms, but with every act of good evil is pushed back a little farther. The worst thing about evil is that it's so very easy. There are spells out there that can be used to sabotage another in order to advance oneself. They are disseminated by agents of chaos and evil in order to push the forces of light back. The Wicca came up with a rule that is at the core of their belief system, "Whatever you send out you get back times three." This is merely an echoing of the golden rule, but overall a good rule.
If you are contemplating using some supernatural force to get ahead in this world (which isn't completely bad) you need to make sure that you have looked at every angle, and know who it will effect. Because of the butterfly effect that is not always possible, but do your best and don't do anything that will cause injury to another.
Just as there are forces of evil in this world there are forces of good as well. They are charged with guiding and protecting humanity. Thought they are not in the business of harming others, they will make sure that supernatural forces are not abused to the point where others would be harmed. They are feared by evil and praised by those they help. You don't want to get on the wrong side of the forces of good, and you don't want to give evil a doorway to use you as one of it's agents.
A good practice to observe is to state exactly what you will and will not do when entering the realm of the supernatural. Now here is the tricky part, once you have drawn that line don't cross it. Once you do it gets easier and easier to go farther and farther. You never want to get to the point where you look back and cannot see your line. I know it's cliched but it is generally correct.
Be good, Do good and good things will come to you.
And remember that good will always win. Sure evil may have some small victories but in the end good triumphs; this is the way that is has always been.
The universe is vast and we are very small. In the end the only thing we really can control is whether we are good or evil.

Psychics

This is a subject that I would like to approach, because it seems as though a lot of people are searching for psychics online. Of these people there are a lot that was to find someone who can give them some type of reading online. I am sorry to say that there is little chance of getting an actual psychic reading over the internet. Don't get me wrong it is possible, but there are only about nine people in the world that can do it, and I know for a fact that a couple of them don't even have computers, or smart phones.
So that's that bare bones of online psychics, they are simply frauds. Now if you are going to search out an actual psychic here are some tips:
When you find one don't automatically think that they are frauds because they have their place of business dressed up with a crystal ball and antiques all around, with dim lighting and new age music all around. Sure these things are cliche but they are also what most people expect and some psychics use them to get people in the "mood." That is to say that they use them to get people to open up a bit and put them in the frame of mind to be more acceptable of the fantastic.
There are frauds out there. It's sad to say but it's true. There are those that prey on people looking for answers, and it is deplorable. For most it is next to impossible to spot the difference. If you think a psychic is a fraud there are some things you can do to see. The common con artist that pretends to be a psychic does something called a cold read. This is when they ramble on about several topics and they look at your reactions to give them hints about why you are there. They use these subtle hints to guide them and to exploit their opportunity. Try to remain calm when you go to the psychic, breath normally and be aware of what you are doing.
There are also con artists out there that leave you in a waiting room that is either rigged with a two way mirror or some sort of recording device. They watch you as you wait to see what they can pick up from you that they can work into the con.
The best way to avoid these con artists is to pick a psychic yourself and then research them. If they are willing ask for references of people they have helped and see what they think of the psychic.

I hope that I have not given anyone a bad outlook about psychics because there are some legitimate and quite frankly amazing psychics out there. Most of them keep to themselves though. It is easier to go through life not pursuing a living from psychic talent. There are also those that realize the talent they have and try to develop it more, I like these people.

In closing There are some psychics out there that are truly amazing and have talents that would make most of us think that they were either superheros or aliens. But keep in mind that there are also a lot of con artists out there that just want to get your money. I hope you are able to find the former, and stay away from the latter.

Spells

I have noticed that there are a lot of people online asking others for spells. I can't tell you how dangerous this is. Here are some of the dangers of taking part in this practice.
1. If you ask another person for spells you never truly know what you are getting. The person that created the spell could have had another purpose for it.
2. If you get a spell in this way you can also run into people who are just evil, and will give you something that seems harmless, but there could be one little quirk in the spell that could cause harm to you or harm to someone in general.
3. There are language barriers that just don't translate well over the internet. You could be getting a spell from someone in Russia, but the person you got it from may not have a well enough understanding of your language to convey it correctly
4. A lot of spells are old, and written in languages that are dead. If you get a person that didn't really understand the spell to begin with and then they give it to you thinking that they are helping you but in reality the spell could be for anything.

Here are some of Sara's tips for attaining spells.
When you are looking for a spell the best thing that you can do is research it yourself. Make sure you have a firm grasp of the language and terminology used, as well as the colloquialisms of the time period. There were as many slang terms in the past centuries as there are now. Words have taken on different meanings over the years, and the proper understanding is key to proper casting.
Not only should you research the spell itself, you have to research all of the correspondence that goes along with it. Even if you have a good understanding of the spell you need to make sure that the correspondence is correct for the spell.
If you cannot master the language or the subtleties of a specific, then take what you have learned with your research and write your own.
The way that all the spells in history were created was out of necessity. They were created to fill a need. If you have a need then you can create your own spells. You will need to research it well and make sure that you have all of he necessary elements and staging for it, but spells you create yourself can be some of the strongest. When you create your own you know exactly what is supposed to be done, when it is to be done, and how it is to be done. It is usually the best way to go.
Blessed Be

Well that was Sara's contribution and the advice she give here is the consensus of the group. As always if you have questions or comments, please feel free to leave them here. The Blog is checked at least four times a week, and recently it has been checked daily.

Ouija Boards

Ouija boards have been around for a long time. Some say they started as a game early in this century and then mass marketed. In actuality the spirit board has been around for much longer. Only recently (as far as history is concerned)has it been called an Ouija Board.
Even thought the Ouija Board is marked as a game it is nothing of the sort. There are many people who have used them with absolutely no ill effects from the incident, and these people are the lucky ones. When you use a Ouija Board it is like picking up a phone and dialing random numbers. You could connect with a sweet old woman from a small town and have a lovely conversation or you could dial a 900 number and end up being charged a small fortune. There are good connections and bad ones.
But an Ouija Board can do more than connect with things, it can actually open gates into places that you really don't want open, and going back to my phone analogy it's an open line, meaning anyone or in this case anything can hop in on the connection at any time.
Ouija Boards can be dangerous. If you happen upon a malevolent entity that is looking for someone to torture you are up the proverbial creek. More often people happen upon entities that are looking for someone to manipulate. These creatures have no interest in the well being of the one they are manipulating and are only interested in getting their agenda fulfilled.
The allure of Ouija Boards is that they are mysterious, dangerous, and a taboo. There is good reason for this. Spirit Boards were traditionally used to make pacts with entities in order for a person to gain something, and as it is in life nothing is free. There is always a price. Fooling around with one can be dangerous because the thing on the other end may indeed help you at first in order to get you hooked, and then demand something from you later.
Never make a deal with anything that contacts you in this way, and if you are looking for a game to play with your friends on a night that you have nothing to do, I would suggest a good game of Clue or Pictionary, not an Ouija Board.

Ghosts

There are ghosts in the world, and to be classified as a ghost it has to be the remnant energy of a departed human,or animal. I make the assertion that it has to be a departed human or animal because if it was never from this world then it is something entirely different, but this post is about ghosts. A ghost is a remnant of a person whose physical body has died but their energy has stuck around. Most of them don't have enough energy to have any effect on the world around them; in fact they barely have the energy to manifest themselves. Ghosts can appear in several different ways. If they have enough energy to manifest on their own; then they usually appear as some sort of luminescent shape. They may not have enough energy to reform an image of how they looked before they died so one may see a head, torso or arm. Others don't have the energy to manifest on their own, but still wish to be seen; these types of ghosts usually appear as black figures. Black figures are not inherently evil but function the same way as black holes do. They are trying to be seen, and absorb the ambient energy from their immediate surroundings. This manifestation usually begins with a cold spot as the heat is absorbed, then as a dark spot as they absorb the light from around them. Walking through either a cold spot or a dark spot can be hazardous because they are drawing energy in and may sap yours. Finally, if a ghost cannot manifest itself it may try to effect things around them to get noticed. Things that operate off of electricity are the most susceptible to them, but they can effect other objects. Any object that they had an emotional attachment to or that reminds them of an emotional attachment will be easier for them to interact with than an average household item.

Paranormal Investigators

A note on paranormal investigators. STOP! When you see shows on TV that showcase paranormal investigators, it may inspire you to get a tape recorder and a camcorder and go exploring. I would advise against it. Shows about these paranormal investigators showcase individuals going into places with reported paranormal activity. Usually these places are reputed to be haunted by ghosts, but there are a lot of things that seem ghostly but are not. There have been several times when these investigators have gotten in over their heads and have had to have their collective rear ends pulled out of the fire.
Most just go looking for ghosts, but even ghosts are not to be trifled with. Some of them can manifest life threatening dangers. If they go looking or happen to stumble upon something worse, they are pretty much screwed if they don't have someone looking out for them.
The human need for knowledge of the unknown has led to some great things, but it has also cost many lives. Some paranormal investigators do their research before they go in, and have a general idea of what they're dealing with, but most just hear some second or third hand ghost story and decide to go poking their noses into things that they really shouldn't.
So to all of the would be paranormal investigators out there. If you truly feel the need to explore the unknown, Take precautions! Even if you think that carrying salt is a bad idea, or you feel that science will overcome everything, don't overlook those who came before you. Get Holy Water. Carry Salt, (It disrupts manifestations of energies). Know the layout of where you are going, and definitely know how to get out of there in a hurry.
Finally, here is a very helpful tip for you: Carry a hammer. You never know when you're going to have to make a hole to escape through. Even though you go into a place through a door or window doesn't mean that the door or window will be accessible for escape, it also doesn't mean that you will even be able to open that door or window a second time.

Be careful

Destiny

Destiny is a funny thing. Is everything we are ever meant to do written down in some grand glowing book somewhere? Or do we determine our destiny through our actions and our freedom of choice.
It's actually a little of both. While our origins and endings are determined the path that we take once we are on the road is entirely up to us. Who we are and what we do from our beginning to end determines the type of person that we are.
Think of it this way: maybe the point of life isn't how it ends, but how we get there. The point of life is the journey not the destination.

Is it real?

A lot of people ask if Magic and the Supernatural are real. The simple answer is yes.

Here is a more complicated answer:
Let's face it. There are things that just cannot be explained. Everyone has experienced something that just defies the human ability to justify or understand. These things fall into the realm of the Occult or Supernatural.
What people don't know is that there is an entire world of things that happen everyday that would shock them out of their minds if they really knew. A lot of what people think is out there has be sensationalized by the media and Hollywood. However, that does not change the fact that there are things out there that are outside the norm. So what is real and what has been sensationalized? It would honestly take me a lifetime to explain in this forum.
I have experienced more than my fair share of things that fall into the category of the supernatural. I would love to share them all with you but, frankly, I'm not allowed to tell my stories. If you ask specific questions I will answer them to the best of my ability.

I feel those who know should try to help those who don't.
